1. WELCOME
==========

You’re probably wondering what you are doing here, reading a Readme
file that uses Courier New as the font... HAVE WE GONE BACK IN TIME
TO THE YEARS OF DOS WITH PROPORTIONAL FONTS!?!?!? Well, you are
reading the readme for DanTemplates 0.1 (thank god ;))! I hope you
enjoy using DanTemplates as much as I “enjoyed” making it ..........

2. HOW TO USE THE TEMPLATE DESIGNER THINGY
==========================================

Well, you begin with a screen that looks like this, where you design
your template.
A ‘section’ is a bit of information that you could change in any HTML
document that you create which uses that template, eg, navigational
tools, copyright notice, the main section (obviously), keywords and
descriptions (meta tags – see pic to right). To add a section, click
the ‘Add new section’ button. It will ask you the name of the section
and the default text for the section – see the default one if you
don’t understand. To tell it where that section is located in the
template, type the section name enclosed in ‘::’s eg, ::main:: or
::nav::. You can put a section more than once on the page; eg
navigation buttons on top and bottom. You can put the page title
anywhere on the page by putting in ‘::title::’. Have fun creating
template – I recommend that you create your template in FrontPage or
a similar program and then cut and paste it in.

3. HOW TO USE THE HTML EDITOR
=============================

First, choose your template by going into the File menu and clicking
‘Choose Template...’ or press F2. Then, choose where the end HTML
file will be output to, with the ‘Output file to’ box. Edit the
sections by double clicking on the section name, and then typing the
text to put into that section. Then, click ‘Build HTML file’ and it
will output the file to where you chose in the ‘Output file to’ box.
